Blue & White Chinoiserie Style Cachepots

A striking pair of blue and white chinoiserie-style porcelain cachepots decorated with birds and florals and finished with an all-over crackle glaze. Each is set within an elaborate gilt metal mount with a ribbed rim, decorative swags, pierced detailing and paw feet.

Substantial in both scale and weight, this pair has wonderful decorative presence and works beautifully flanking a mantel, console or entryway.

The gilt metal mounts show patina, surface wear, oxidation and areas of finish loss, most notably along the upper rims and portions of the decorative bases, as shown in photos. Crackling throughout is characteristic of the glaze.
