A classic vintage English black felt bowler hat bearing the Gold Star Brand mark and retaining its original leather sweatband and cream satin lining.
Originally retailed by C. Westwood & Sons, Hatters & Hosiers, Grays, England, with the retailer’s decorative crest beautifully preserved inside the crown. The original paper size label remains beneath the sweatband.
Early-to-mid 20th century.
Very good vintage condition overall with age-related wear, including some fraying and deterioration to the grosgrain ribbon and bow. The felt, brim, leather sweatband and interior present beautifully for age. Please see photographs for condition.
