Early 20th-century commercial bakery bread tray from a Lancaster, Pennsylvania bakery, designed to slide onto industrial rolling racks for holding loaves during cooling and shop-floor transport. Constructed of heavy wood with canvas-covered panels and reinforced with iron strapping, rivets, and corner guards.
Retains original stenciled lettering and a beautifully worn patina from decades of use.
Circa 1910-1925.
