Wanamaker’s Camee Chocolates Tin

An early 20th-century American chocolate tin produced for Camee Chocolates and retailed through John Wanamaker’s Philadelphia department store, one of the most celebrated names in American retail history. Manufactured by the Can Company of America, this tin dates to the interwar period and reflects the elegance of pre-war luxury packaging.

The tin features Camee’s flowing script logo on a rich teal ground with gilt detailing, complemented by a harbor vignette along the sides. Originally intended to be kept and reused, it now serves beautifully as decorative storage for letters, photographs, or desk essentials.

Light wear and surface marks consistent with age enhance its authentic character.
